Willem van de Velde & Son
The work of father and son Willem van de Velde symbolizes the golden age of Dutch paintings around 1600 about naval battles. They made more than 2,500 drawings and 800 paintings in about seventy years. These can be found in the collections of important museums, both nationally and internationally. A wonderful selection of Dutch and foreign museums has been brought together in the exhibition and catalog Willem van de Velde & Son.
When designing the catalog we were inspired by the monumentality of the works and we chose for powerful typography, powerful openings for essays and catalog and powerful details of the works.
