In this project, my purpose was to explore a four letter word typographically, and visually. This was created on an 8 page double gate fold. I chose the word "know" because there's a lot of ways to interpret the word. I decided to go with the many ways that knowledge is used. I used found images of strong historical women from different cultures/religions to create an aesthetically pleasing composition as a whole. Once all of my found images were edited and placed into an indesign file, the burma shave was printed onto enhanced matte paper, cut and adhered it, creating our physical mockups. You can check out some process images in my Dropmark.
Knowledge is power! You always hear someone say that when the topic of why learning is so important is present..
is strength, is the greatest weapon! Our strong virgin Mary would have failed had she not kept her faith in her god strong..
Joan of Arc! She used her knowledge to build an army and win a war!
The slightest peak at my four letter word! What will it be?!
Know!!  The greatest power, strength, and weapon!
