The starting point of this project was research and reflection on forms of religious objects in today’s context. From that, the question naturally arose: what is religion today?
I intend to investigate by what means it is possible to make the people slow down and reconsider their way of life. So I choose the location of the Museum of the Revolution, a never-built facility that was supposed to show the aspirations of people and qualities of the system. The location is between SIV and the Ušće shopping center, symbolically representing the intersection of the two systems between which we are:
socialism and capitalism.
Through exploring the contemporary urban way of life and the things that occupy us, I try to form a typology that will strive to remove distractions and to enable users a “religious” experience.
The user is guided through a designed path with specific ambiances in order to lose and retrieve oneself.
