For this post, I will talking about how my second shoot went with my next model for the alleyway shoot. I really enjoyed working with my model and we got the shoot done without any problems at any stage during it. 

As with my first model, I will be showing pictures of my second model's emotions throughout the period of her listening to her three choice of songs that were happy, hateful and emotional. 

1. Favourite song my model picked - Maneskin - Zitti E Buoni 

My model's emotions whilst listening to her favourite song 

Lyrics: "Sono fuori di testa, ma diverso da loro 

E tu sei fuori di testa, ma diversa da loro". Italian version.  

"I'm out of my mind, but not like them 

And you're out of your mind, but not like them". English version. 

Through the series of images, it started off with my model smiling as she started listening to the song from a rock band called Maneskin, who are from Italy. Maneskin is also a rock band who recently won a singing competition called Eurovision back in spring, which also happens to be my model's favourite singing competition when she confirmed it to me before the shoot started. 

As the music progressed, I noticed my model's eyes were starting to close and she was swinging her body around slowly. It got to a point where I was just speechless to see my model react like that, but at the same time I wanted to get as much photos as I can whilst her eyes were closed. The last two images showed the model looking calm and peaceful whilst she was leaning against the wall. After the shoot was over, my model confirmed to me that the reason why she did what she did was that rock music always calmed her down and it also made her think of her happy place too. 

2. Disliked song my model picked - Tones and I - Dance Monkey 

My model's emotions when listening the song she absolutely hates. 

Lyrics: "Dance for me, dance for me, dance for me, oh, oh, oh" 

"I've never seen anybody do the things you do before"  

These images above show my model's displeasure of listening to Dance Monkey. These series of images shows the pain my model had to go through when she listened throughout the whole song. At one point, my model had to take her headphones off twice because she could not cope of listening to the song all the way. But in the end, she was able to get through it without taking the headphones off again. 

There was one image I personally like, where my model was smiling sarcastically up close which sums up how she despised the song and once it was finished, she breathed a big sigh of relief knowing that the experience was over. 

3. Emotional song my model picked - Tate McRae - You Broke Me First 

My model's emotions whilst listening to her third song 

Lyrics: "Took a while, was in denial when I first heard 

That you moved on quicker than I could've ever, you know that hurt". 

For the third song, my model chose You Broke Me First by Tate McRae as the song was introduced during the first wave of Covid-19 pandemic in April last year. The reason she chose this song was because whenever she played the song, she thought of the time she was stuck indoors because of Covid-19. 

As of the images above, there were lot of emotions from my model to take in, even with one image where she was looking straight at me with the look of pure sadness shows how this song means so much to her. 

Summary 

The second shoot has given me more confidence whilst the project continued. What I enjoyed the most was the connection I had with my model based on the genre we like and that is rock music. I also really liked the way I worked because it allow me to further understand human emotions and the variety of facial expressions that come with it.
