To Master - Fifth Shoot - Model Five - (Alleyway)

To Master - Fifth Shoot - Model Five - (Alleyway)
For this post, I will be talking about how my fifth shoot went with my fifth and final model for the project. The shoot will return to the alleyway again and after writing this post, I will make a new post on what final ten images I have chosen to be on The Sony Photography Awards.

As with all the models, I will be showing pictures of my model's emotions throughout the whole shoot and it will be of three choices of a song which are happy, hateful and emotional.

1. Favourite song my model chose - Drake - In The Bible - ft. Lil Durk, Giveon
My model's emotions throughout the time he listened to his favourite song

Lyrics: "You've been on my mind
We've been spendin' time, but I'm scared".
With the images above, my model did not display any kind of emotions whilst listening to his favourite song. Although he did smile a bit, which I was able to capture but that was about it from there. It reminded me when I first did a practice shoot with my other model for the same shoot and he delivered the same kind of emotions which were calm, cool and relaxed.

But then again, he was really getting into the music, he was bopping his head up and down which explained the last three images I chose in order to show. But overall, that was about it from the shoot there.

2. Disliked song my model chose - Anderson .Paak - Parking Lot
The emotions my model produced whilst listening to the song he does not like

Lyrics: "I don't remember the song we sang
(Ooh, my love)
And the song we sang
(My love)".
Throughout these images above, again my model did not really show his angry face or any kind of expressions I was expecting him to show during the shoot. Although by looking at the images back from the shoot he did show his emotions in a way through the body language of him posing.

The way he folded his arms and also how he put his hands in his coat pocket explained the emotions from him are a way of him just being annoyed at the fact that he had to listen to the song he does not like. That is something I've not learned about and I am very glad my model did these type of poses. Because it shows that it does not have to be facial expressions to show the world how you feel, and that was something my model was actually doing.

3. Emotional song my model picked - Lil Tjay - Mixed Emotions
The emotions of my model's face expressions

Lyrics: "But I'm going through stuff, I think that I'm stressed
Everyday I'm in the studio, ain't getting no rest".

Although my model barely showed any emotions, there were hints of him being emotional in one of the close-up shots of at the end as he listened to Mixed Emotions by Lil Tjay. There was also one image at the very end where he seemed to be biting his lips in a way not to concede in showing his emotions and trying not to shed a tear whilst standing against the wall.

Even though he told me before this shoot started that he is an emotional half of the time, through all these images I put up above there were moments in those photos where he tried to be strong but there was other parts in the photos where I could tell from his body language he had his hands crossed together. This shows the vulnerable side of him. Which then explains how he was looking up towards the sky almost like he wants to be with himself for just a few minutes.
Summary
For the final time, I returned to do the alleyway shoot, and I learned lots of things. I got to see different types of body language and how different they all are. Just because a person acts like they do not have any emotions, it does not mean they have zero feelings. People express their emotions in very different ways. Although these facial expressions were not expected, it was still interesting to see how people react differently to different things.
