Design Strategy
Inspired by the topic biophilia, this guide takes form as a means to help and guide users during their exploration within the outdoors and to help users feel at ease and in control within nature. This typography driven booklet is a hiking guide for 4 specific hikes within the Tsitsikamma National Park. The guide is targeted to no particular group of users, but rather to individuals who enjoy exploring nature and are interested in participating in these easy to intermediate hiking trails.
Each hiking route is colour coded and marked with its own icon to help the user fully understand and identify the differences within each hikes allocated spread. All the elements within the guide like the map and important information are created with the use and manipulation of typography.
