Meanwhile in Melbourne

Meanwhile in Melbourne
“Meanwhile in Melbourne” is a small attempt to create digital illustrations of moments & places I like in and around Melbourne.
1. The Iconic Tram
Melbourne’s known for its extremely efficient public transport system. I’ve digitized the oldest & the most iconic #35 tram which in its own way shows the essence of this city.
The first illustration focuses on how it looks from the outside, while the other one focuses on how it looks from the inside.

2. Brighton Beach
This was the first beach I ever went to after moving to Australia. The colourful bathing boxes adds a bright, vivid touch to Melbourne's gloomy weather which is where it gets its name from.
3. National Gallery of Victoria (NGV)
Melbourne’s known for being a multicultural city and art is given utmost importance. This illustration is from one of my all time favourite galleries in the world, National Gallery of Victoria. The most admirable part is when the sunlight falls on the mosaic framed ceiling.
4. Rowing on Yarra
Sometimes, you can find me nestled in a quaint, little spot, overlooking the Yarra river. One of my favourite views, from up there, is watching people row. Love how they are always in sync.
