This project is for Flagler's Typography class.

The assignment for this project was to create a type specimen book for one of Adrian Frutiger’s typefaces. Inspiration for the book needed to somehow relate to the typeface and for this specimen book, Frutiger’s Centennial was selected. Centennial was released in the 1980’s and was designed for contemporary elegance. Correspondingly, Laura Ashley released her first ever catalog in the 1980’s which blended well with the overall theme of contemporary elegance. From there the project developed into a homage for Laura Ashley and her floral patterns. Additionally, illustrations of furniture make a brief appearance in the work in order to look back on that first catalog of home furnishings.
