This illustration is based on Stephen King's The Shinning, Chapter 9: Checking it out, when the Torrance family arrived at the Overlook Hotel. The hotel design is based on The Ahwahnee hotel, which was the inspiration of the interiors of the Overlook Hotel in the film.
