Central Tirgus
I had the opportunity within the architecture office Arhstadija to work on the urban scale and design of the surrounding of the famous Central Market of Riga Latvija.
The main object was to rethink and design the main esplanadeand hide service area under - trash container and delivery area - as well as implement a promenade and leisure area in front offering interaction with the river.

Project also implement the surrounding, pedestrian path, parking, tram station and greenery ...
Esplanade is beton slab surrounded by a transparent railing system. Urban furniture block offer the possibility for customer to eat and rest outside. Made as a modular system can be recomposed and create new space for different needs.
One of the constraint of the design is the possible flood. A beton wall protect the delivery zone underground.
One of the main idea was to multiply possible access on the esplanade. Different kind of steps offer different possibility to sit.
We also designed the Tram stop. For ones it's not the the world wide product from JCdecaux. Here there is proper place for elder to sit and wait the tram
Sadly no money was allocated for this project, other priority came in front. Maybe later.
