Irrelevant Cross Walk

  • “Irrelevant Cross Walk” was inspired by the crosswalk buttons that pedestrians use to aid to speed up the waiting time for a busy road or intersection. The action of pushing a button while waiting for traffic to stop seems very separate and almost irrelevant with the task in hand. This interaction we have with this piece of technology is forced us to put trust into an object that might or not might be aiding us in speeding up the time of the stop light. Is it just a mental aid or is it actually speeding up the time of the wait?
