Up and Coming Cities to Add to Your Travel Bucket List
As we consider traveling post-Covid-19, the itch to visit new and up-and-coming destinations is at the top of everyone’s list. The following locations are some of the top locations that individuals will be visiting over the next year.

Vancouver, Canada
It’s easy to see why filmmakers flock to Canada’s western seaport. Vancouver is irresistibly photogenic, framed by the Pacific Ocean and the rugged North Shore Mountains. The city is blossoming into an eclectic destination; cultures worldwide mingle to create Vancouver’s unique flavor.

Riga, Latvia
This underrated European gem has storybook charm thanks to its diverse and beautiful architecture. “The Paris of the Baltics” boasts exquisite Art Nouveau buildings alongside Gothic and Soviet-era structures. Once a thriving port city in the Medieval Era, Riga is poised to make a comeback.

Incheon, South Korea
Incheon is a central travel hub with a personality of its own. Visitors will appreciate its futuristic green cityscape, where sleek skyscrapers coexist with sprawling urban parks. From Incheon, one can explore the many surrounding islands. You won’t want to miss Wolmido’s theme park or Muuido’s sandy beaches.

Medellin, Colombia
Once, this Colombian city was dubbed “the most dangerous in the world” due to the infamous drug cartels of the ’80s. Today, Medellin is transformed and seeking a new title: South America’s first eco-city. With its innovative urban planning and friendly locals, lush, mountainous Medellin is a paradise for environmentally conscious travelers.

Essaouira, Morocco
Don’t let the historic military fortresses fool you. Perched on Morocco’s Atlantic coastline, Essaouira (“Swee-ra” to Moroccans) has a peaceful, laid-back vibe. Windy beaches make for some of the world’s best kitesurfing. In the city, artisans sell goods made of gorgeous native Thuya wood.

Porto, Portugal
Porto is the ultimate foodie destination. It’s the birthplace of Port wine, a sweet red straight from the valleys of northern Portugal. Porto’s food is just as abundant. After long walks through cobblestone streets, tourists feast on sauce-drenched Francesinha sandwiches, fried codfish dumplings, cheesy grilled sausages, and more.

Budapest, Hungary
There are many tourist cities in Europe, but Budapest has a grandeur and romance all its own. Because it is less expensive than other hotspots, its star rises. The Hungarian capital has it all, from castles and cathedrals to a world-famous outdoor mineral spa and the continent’s best Christmas market.
