G-code Synesthesia

  • G-code Synesthesia takes the x, y, and z G-code coordinates from a 3D scan of my body and turns them into corresponding tones mapped to the frequency range of the human ear. While listening to these tones, one sees a red ball in Rhino corresponding with the coordinate they hear. 
    This moving image is projected so that the scale of my body matches the one projected. 

    123D Catch, Rhino v5 with the Grasshopper plug-in and Firefly plug-in were used to create this work. Below is a segment of the moving image that would be projected.
