Day 1: I practiced my modelling and rendering skills using Blender 3.0. In here I studied UV mapping, texturing, and the node editor. I didn't post process the rendered image in Photoshop because I want to learn see how I progress my lighting and camera skills over time. Blender's Eevee renderer is amazing, though I find it still slow compared to Keyshot, but quality wise, Eevee is really good.
Day 2: I recently switched my workflow from Adobe Suite to Affinity Suite, and I think my illustration/painting workflow improved because of my tool migration. One thing I love about moving back and forth between Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer is that I can have only one file with layers of vectors and pixels. I can directly paint on my vector layers and the tool will automatically create a clipped pixel layer inside it. That feature is really a time-saver for me!
Day 3: I created my first YouTube content and I learned a lot during the process. Because I am completely removing Adobe out of my system (at least for personal projects), I used  Debut Video Capture Software in recording my time-lapse and VideoPad Video Editor for post-processing. Both software are from NCH Software company and uses one-time purchase sales model like Serif for their Affinity Suite.
Day 5: Doing good illustration takes time, especially when you just have a really limited information on the client's brief. It takes time to conceptualize and arrange my thoughts on how to tackle the project in the most efficient way. This is especially crucial when doing a series of artworks like in a children's book, where I need to make the characters, style, and colors consistent throughout the book. I uploaded a time-lapse of my process of this first page on my YouTube channel
Day 6: I compiled the screen recording of my illustration project on Day 5.
