Taman Mini Indonesia Indah or Beautiful indonesia in miniature park was the brainchild of president soeharto's wife ibu Tien. Opened in 1975 the park was built to 'cultivate national pride in more indonesians. Located in south Jakarta the park is a wonderful showcase of indonesian traditional architecture + kitsch 1970's government architecture. These photographs are part of an ongoing 4x5 " personal project documenting the park.
