Localization of the global UN initiative "Generation Unlimited"
Brief:
The brief was to create a branding identity for the global UN initiative Generation Unlimited, and to launch the program in Egypt.
Challenge:
The challenge was to apply the Egyptian culture to the branding identity while still maintaining the global identity of the initiative.
Concept:
I approached this challenge by selecting Egyptian metaphors that reflect the core values of Generation Unlimited. The icons in the logo were chosen from the diverse culture and history of Egypt. I chose Pharos, Nubian, and Coptic icons to represent diversity, and I added female and male icons to represent inclusion. I also selected icons that represent power, youth, economy, and digital connectivity. The logo was a masterpiece that reflected all the values that the initiative wanted to emphasize in an artistic way.
Results:
UNICEF and the UN liked the logo, and we won the pitch because of it. We successfully launched the initiative in Egypt and created a successful launch campaign.
