I took the Seven Deadly Sins, and although I am not a religious person, but morally I think the Sins are really interesting. So (based on my opinion), i ordered them based on how important I saw them in today's society. I put Lust at the surface, considering that lust means really nothing to people these days. I used Gluttony in more of a "wasting resources" manner, coming second. Pride was next, considering the amount of pride you need to have today to get anywhere. Envy which symbolized kind of society itself. Greed, being very close to the bottom. Then Wrath, which is actually torn from the rest of the piece, to symbolize that once you have crossed that line, there really is no way to go back. And the worst I decided was Sloth. These days sitting on your butt and doing nothing gets you nowhere in life and really is the worst way to live life.
I also paired each sin with an animal, adding more of a depth to each concept, eventually doing a single piece for each of the sins.
Finally, I created a Heaven and a Hell to match the sins and then the opposites, the virtues. I also did a piece where the perfect balance was achieved in the "real world" piece.
The point of my concentration was to demonstrate how too much sin could lead to terrible things, but too much virtue could also lead to terrible things. Finding the perfect balance is the way to live life.
