A Series of Illustrations for Northwestern Magazine

I created a series of illustrations for Northwestern magazine winter 2022 issue - The Rhythm of Sleep

The disruption of circadian rhythms was connected to the development of a metabolic syndrome consisting of symptoms related to cholesterol and glucose levels and fat accumulation in the liver and abdomen. Treating the insomnia may prevent or shorten the period of depression. Having good sleep will make you less likely to get stress, dementia, Alzheimer’s, cardiovascular diseases etc.

I brainstormed some ideas for the concept that circadian clocks exist in all parts of our body and losing sleep is harmful. Scroll down to see more sketches.
