As a school assignment we were to create an opening sequence for a book or movie of our choice. I chose an Estonian movie from 2007, directed by Kadri Kõusaar which received a lot of critical feedback and later on was banned from cinemas in Estonia. The controversial but quite actual topics in the every day lives of people, the low-budget of the production and the depth of the movie was what drew me into it, that's if you can get passed the controversy it created.
The background was filmed through a camera that was placed infront of the beam of light from video projector and the particles floating are dust particles that hovered around in light beam.
The image projected onto the wall was similar to a chess board, consisting of red and white rectangles. By moving either the camera in the beam or the image from my laptop I could produce various changes in lightning.
Post-production consisted of color correction and adding text.
