The objective of this project is to promote the city and its traditions of Fafe giving a new shape and even a new image, "Design has the power to enrich our lives by engaging our emotions through image, form, (...)" (Brown, 2009 ) being our focus, one of its main productive activities, the handiwork of straw.
 
Following the main methods of meta-project, it began with a visit to the city allowing a first approach to the material and its production technique, allowing to define the aspect by which the project would follow, being fashion/accessories the context chosen.
 
Inspiration
 
Our proposal consists of a product system (Zurlo, 2003) whose concept is based on circles of different sizes. This comes from a archaeological find named bracelets of Arnozela, a finding considered the treasure of Fafe representing the identity of the place.
 
This finding is a set of bracelets assembled in another slightly larger ring. This object of adornment was used to classify the power of those who wore accentuating the semantics of jewelry.
 
Picking up on the idea of ​​union / meeting between them, based on the concept of Pattern-Language (Alexander, 1977), we used this same feature in our product system in which all together are one, but separating each represents its function.
 
gyro
 
Gyro is a brand of a product system in which consists of three products. The name "Gyro" derives from the concept that gave to the product, it's circular form, which is characteristic of all objects of the project.
 
The logo transmits the very simplicity of the forms of the product system itself, since it's all based on circles putting into practice the conceptual part of the pattern language in which consists the parts form the whole and the whole the parts. Which may be regarded as beyond the three pieces are part of this product system, the logo adapts to it part of the product also. (Alexander, 1977)
 
The term "explore your surroundings" relates to the theme of the typologies created, rural tourism Fafe, proposing to customers to buy the product with a very casual and comfortable image that explore the surroundings where they pass so also exploring their own experiences.
 
Products
 
The product system is created consisting of a purse, a hat and a headband. All of them, with this circular shape as well, as part of their structure with the exception of the headband that is semicircular. The structure of all of them is mostly in straw, serving a very strong element in the union of the three objects in addition to their shape.
