I had to use two sources for this retouch. The 8x10 was almost completely devoid of color. Luckily my aunt still had the proofs that the photographer gave to her. The proof was 3x3 and had very little detail, but had enough color to work with. I aligned the two images to combine the color with the detail.

This is the 8x10 that was missing color but had detail.

This was the 3x3 that had color, but little detail.
