Stereoview
Stereoview uses antique cards which feature a pair of images designed to create the illusion of depth when viewed through a device called a stereoscope. The native format of these cards allows me to both remove the subjects and leave them visible – emphasizing the fleetingness of life. The smallness of the figures juxtaposed against the vastness of the natural world and the immensity of the human-made structures further questions individual significance.
