I wanted to focus on the more geometric nature of the letter forms.
Using only alphanumeric characters from Neue Haas Grotesk and Stempel Garamond, we were to create a design using each of the typefaces. The characters could only be black or white.
Since Neue Haas Grotesk is a version of Helvetica, I thought it would be a fun idea to create something in a Bauhaus style.
With Stempel Garamond as our serif font to use, I really liked the way the i and j aligned together to make an umlaut with their dots. I also wanted a more royal type design.
