The Bee Project is a design and care project aimed at raising awareness for Singapore's dwindling bee population. Bees are our world's tiniest yet most hardworking insect. As pollinators, bees play a big role in every aspect of an ecosystem. They support the growth of trees, flowers and many other plants which all serve as food and shelter for different creatures including ourselves. Without bees, our many complex, interconnected ecosystems that allow for for diversity in our environment will cease to co-exist.
In Singapore, our bee population is constantly threatened. In our biology education, we are only taught about Bee's roles in pollination, but not of its great impact nor it's dwindling population. As such, this project was created with education for children in mind - specifically children in kindergarten, primary and secondary school (ages 5-16). This project will provide children with the knowledge about the role of our pollinators, their impact on our environment and how we can help their population grow. It will provide a hands-on experience for kids to play, explore and learn about bees in Singapore.

The poster includes statistics about the bee population, the Singaporean public's view on bees, different design solutions to solve such issue and interactive illustrations.
