In the book you can observe properties of different materials and graphic elements in a square format, where I utilize the contrast of black and white. The book begins with arrangements of organic shapes that I made using lines as well as planes.
The compositions are also accompanied by linocuts so I've tried out both a physical and a digital approach. These shapes are followed by a complete contradiction - linear and sharp graphic elements, that I composed into different arrangements. I was trying to capture their properties and illustrate them graphically. Two photographs of rocks divide the book into chapters - the book goes from graphical elements to drawing reproduction where I used multiple drawing techniques (flat sketch, ink, pastel). In the last chapter you can find photographs I captured during the creation process of the book by combining digital and analog photography.
