Arches National Park

Got the keys to the jet for the weekend, so I had to make it to Utah for the first time! Utah did not disappoint and luckily, my Copilot was a Utah native and an amazing tour guide! We flew into Grand Junction, Colorado and my buddy's sister drove over to pick us up and bring us to Moab. It was amazing having two Utes calling out everything we saw on the drive and listening to them reminisce on all the times they had outdoors in Utah as they grew up. This continued into the park as they did a phenomenal job touring me around. With that, Arches was a perfect park for just a [full] day visit. We started with the Landscape/Double O Arch Hike where we saw almost 6 arches in total! Next, we drove to a few of the quick stop hikes, then made it to Delicate Arch for sunset. After the sun went down, the most beautiful colors erupted in the sky and we had an amazing hike back to the car! Our last stop in the park was to Balanced rock where we got a SICK astro shot of my buddy standing underneath the balanced rock with his headlamp on! The cherry on top was then, being able to fly over all the Utah National Parks the next day! One of the most stoked moments i've had in my 1,500 hours in the T-1 was spotting and getting a shot of delicate arch with my buddy flying! It was truly a trip to remember!
