Portrait of a Friend
There are many of us who have the opportunity to adopt a pet from the animal shelter, but, for different reasons, decide not to - this is perfectly understandable. On the other hand, there are many who take the chance to take home one of the many lost souls who spend their lives hopelessly in waiting for a better future. So it came that this little fellow, became, despite his traumatic past, the new best friend of it's new owner. There is nothing I admire more from people, than the courage to take the time, energy and patience to bring new life, hope and faith to the less fortunate. One day I will be this brave!
