NGIES Blue Packets 2022—Year of Tiger
The year of tiger is an extremely special year for the Ngies (or me), because it was an idea that brewed from a whole year ago! In 2021, I adopted a beautiful black cat from SPCA Singapore – I named him Fungus. He has been our family's biggest joy ever since, life has been so amazing with him around! He honestly made the Covid-19 situation a whole lot better for us. With that, I just knew that he'd have to be a part of our red packet design for 2022.
To be honest, the ideating and execution of this year's design was almost instant. I knew exactly what I wanted. Fungus was to be our very own tiger, but as an "impawster" with his colours being the opposite of your typical orange ones. Sitting in the middle of a group of massive tigers, our tiny boy is to be calm whilst staring straight into the receivers' eyes.
"虎躍新程" or "A Tiger Leaps To A New Journey" is used in the Year of Tiger, to bless one with the ability to leap thousand of miles like a tiger – for a brighter future. I think it's a blessing we all need in our third year of pandemic!
