Moonlight - Indigo Resist Dyeing
Using the Arashi technique of pole wrapping combined with Itajime clamp by over dyeing, I have tried to experiment with the play of lines and opacity of the forms giving a sense of illumination.
The variations in each of the clamped circles call to the phases of the moon. The circles differ just as the moon moves from one form to the other. I have tried to extract from the celestial beauty of the moon and it has inspired the pieces I have displayed.
