The goal of this project was to explore the various features of these letterforms. Then we were tasked with orienting them in a visually appealing way.
This is Bauer Bodini Roman. Bodini is meek and timid. It is petite and careful, but its stroke weight fluctuates.
This is Futura Medium. Futura is thick and spatially aware. It has a big ego and wants to be the center of attention.
This is Stempel Garamond Roman. Garamond is whimsical and angular. It feels like a dainty creature in a forest. It gives off fairytale vibes.
This is Helvetica Roman. It is robust, orbicular and serpentine. It’s like a winding bridge or a snake’s body.
This is Platelet Medium. It is funky, groovy, and bold. Like the extroverted friend that enjoys dancing and can’t help but dress up in 70s clothes.
This is Rockwell Regular. It is stable and weighted. Like an older sibling or a mentor, it is steady and the rock of a relationship.
