The Oracle
I had wanted to do a fortune reader inspired portrait for some time. Inspired by a portrait I took previously of a furniture owner who had some amazing and unique props, one of the image came out looking like a fortune teller, so I knew I wanted to do a fortune teller portrait, but proper.

It took quite some time getting the right props to set the mood, from sourcing for a crystal ball (had to buy a real crystal ball as crystal ball props were either too small or difficult to find) a skull was borrowed from a friend, candle was borrowed from a friend, the pantheon prop came from my brother when he was visiting rome, book from my own journal, mandela backdrop came from Amazon, peacock chair came from someone tossing it(it looked perfectly fine!) and the cards from a tarot card series that Salvador Dali designed.

I really liked having a sense of storytelling in my images, especially when all the elements from the talent, to the HMUA, the set design and wardrobe and lighting comes together to form a picture! This was one I was glad to accomplished with my friends, who were so wonderful to help contribute to this photoshoot.
