PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A title sequence introduces the film to the audience. It sets up the environment of a show or movie. This project will be producing a title sequence through exploring flat animation(2d) adhering to the chosen film.
The title sequence will capture the interest of the audience and intrigue them to watching the show by setting up and reflecting the mood of the film through the representation of the film’s genre, plot, themes and pace.

RATIONALE
To engage the people with emotional journey, the music background, colour palette and the typography design of the title sequence represented the themes and the pacing of The Haunting of Bly Manor.
The fade-ins and outs along with the background colour(dark grey) are reflective of the “haunting” and “eerie” feel of it. The background music, Evil Rising, exhibits the dramatic darkness of the show. The illustrations and words in the title sequence bring significance to what The Haunting of Bly Manor revolves around.
Without giving away too much of the show, it highlights the important aspects and things that the audience has to pay attention to. As the title sequence comes to an end, it transitions from having a solid background to a cinematic-inspired one serving as a clue and visual interest to the audience.
