I'm currently photographing the individual pieces of a project called "Cherish". It is an installation sculpture comprised of [at the very least] over 100 pieces.

Those made of red clay are intentionally made. Some are bisque fired, some are glaze fired, and some are glazed but unfired. A small few are still raw. Some chunkier pieces are carved into, and fibers are wedged into the very skinny ones so that I could stretch the limits of the material.

The few pieces of white clay are of porcelain, unfired, and are mostly failed throws. Although they are deliberately gathered and donated, they possess the spirit of found objects.

I honestly have no idea how many pieces make up the entire installation. As of today, I've taken pictures of about 45 individuals, and I don't believe I am even halfway through.
