Musto is a well known deodorant company based in Tanzania that sells its products in Africa and exports internationally as well. We were assigned the challenging task of coming up with an innovative way to package their product. When we began to work on this project, our team was determined to create the most modern and trendy packaging for this deodorant.

A combination of different shades of red are the main colors we have used in packaging this product. The top half of the bottle is a darker shade of red, with the rest of the bottle being a slightly lighter shade of the same. We went with using this particular color so extensively because it is definitely one color that really attracts a person’s attention and catches the eye of the viewer. Using this color has really helped the packaging to be more dynamic and active as red is associated with qualities like action and energy.  We also created a variation of this package design using a very pleasant and appealing combination of really bright shades of blue and yellow, which allows it to stand out on a shelf.

Aside from the color, we have kept the design of this packaging very stylish and modern by using sharp triangles in darker and lighter shades of red in the first version and yellow triangles in the second. This allows the packaging to not be too messy or crowded; instead keeps it very simple and sleek.
