Transparency in Belongings
This tactile work is created to promote and showcase an artist, David Spriggs.
From the recurring topics that the artist often works on, I decided on the concept ‘Transparency in Belongings’ for my 3D poster.
David Spriggs is a Vancouver-based artist born in 1978, with artworks reconstructing illusions from a 2 to 3-dimensional space. Through a technique he developed in 1999, he creates large-scale 3D installations within custom structures using multiple layered hand-painted transparencies. He primarily examines surveillance, power, phenomena, space-time and movement, colour, form and perception in his artworks.
