An anarchist neighborhood in Athens, Greece. Exarchia was founded in the aftermath of the student rebellion that helped bring to an end the repressive regime of the Generals. It is now an autonomous community with its own businesses, direct democracy, and graffiti visual culture. Neither banks nor the police enter Exarchia for fear of being bombed with Molotov cocktails
