Book Cover Desing | To kill a Mockingbird
I was delighted to design and illustrate the cover of this famous book - TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD by Harper Lee.
As a Key object-symbol I set a tree. The main purpose of the concept was to show the tree as 6 years old Jean Louise Finch could see - big, tall, with thick stem.
As well as the main idea of the concept there are important details - knothole with the pocket watch and the bird as the symbols of transience of life.
And also the colors, especially purple leaves, color glitch of silhouette and the texture intensify the impression that it's not real tree, but remembrance of it.
