BIG BOYS DON'T CRY
A distorted idea of strength

"Big boys don't cry - Man up - Don't act like such a girl - Be a man - Shed Halak"
Have you ever heard these phrases?

In the past, masculinity suggested that all boys should be strong, brave, and confident, and boys should not act in a way that is considered 'feminine'.
Boys, particularly in Arab cultures, are taught to suppress their emotions from a very young age in order to be seen as "big boys".
Throughout history, emotional tears have been considered a weakness in many cultures, especially in the Arab cultures, and it is often seen as a more feminine thing to do.
