This project (13 photographs) is fully candid fashion, without letting people know they are being photographed, shooting them from the hips. It was conducted in the parisian subway. Black and white was chosen for its timelessness, to focus on the details of each hand.
Available light highlights just one part of the hands and thus adds mystical, mysterious and dramatic aspect to the entire scene.
The challenge was to not disturb people so they do not change their behavior, by getting close enough to them to have a detailed close up.
The main question is : How much and how accurate could we possibly get to know an anonymous passenger through his hands ?
