The complex is surrounded by buildings from the times of constructivism, historical buildings and wooden architecture of the 130th quarter. The architecture of the building is designed to coexist harmoniously with the historical environment of the city.
The architect has found modern techniques and plasticity that do not imitate historical monuments, but support and refer to inspiring objects of the past. For example, the diagonal slopes of the «Babr» facades are a visual reference to the metal petals on the roof of the Young Spectator Theater.
«Babr» does not dominate, but it attracts the eye. In the finishing of the facades we abandoned imitation and used natural materials: stone, metal, glass and ceramics.
We have blended the club house into the life on the right bank of the Angara River and gave meaning to and aesthetics even in technical details.

Identity
The task of the icon is to reflect the idea of the architecture of the residential complex, its details, to be premium, to indicate the historical heritage of the city.
The customer's request was to reflect a direct reference to the name of the building «Babr» — a mythical beast depicted on the emblem of Irkutsk since 1690 holding in its teeth a caught sable.
In Irkutsk, this symbol is very popular and it is depicted in their symbolism a large number of companies, if you portray the beast directly without the metaphor, the logo will not be unique.
The font part of the logo symbolizes the beast itself, the sharp / contrasting details of the letters indicate its predatory origin, sharp fangs and claws.
The logo is accompanied by the metaphorical symbol of the sable, becoming a nuance that can later be transformed for different needs in the identity.
The identity was given its own pattern, which was created based on the logo sign. We placed it on various materials. The pattern also went beyond the confines of print products by placing it on the interiors of the club house.
The stylistics of the pattern are reminiscent of the Art Deco era, helping to show the historical component and escape into the premium segment.
Part of the pattern takes its visual origin from the elements of the facades of the house.
Identity font
For identity, we have chosen the «Romanovsky» font, based on the typeface developed from the samples of Osip Lehmann's 1908 model word-catalogue.
It maintains the image of retro-style, and is suitable for creating a premium visualization that fits well with the concept of a club house.
The digital version of the font has been redrawn and differs from the Lehmann version in some details. Grotesque with narrow proportions and noticeable contrast. It is intended for headings and accented typesetting.

We created a site that tells about a certain ideology behind the construction of the house, about the preservation of the architectural heritage and the image of the city.
It is also worth creating a history, telling about the surroundings of the building, the details of the city's architecture, which formed the basis of the façade of the club house
Before selecting an apartment and viewing the documentation, you can get acquainted with the city and what is around the club house, various attractions, monuments, theaters, waterfront. For this purpose, we have created a small interactive tour that allows you to learn about the various places of the city in a few minutes.
To move around the significant places surrounding the house, the site created a special ring with icons of sights, when you click on them you are transferred to a detailed description of the place.
On one of the pages you can learn about the general idea of the house, its ideology, elements, convenience of the common space, also read what the architect thinks about it and what ideas he laid down.
After getting acquainted with the history of the building and the surroundings, we move on to review the documentation and a detailed view of the layout of the apartments and sections of the complex.
You can select the desired section and go to the most important part of the site, the «Apartment Configurator», set the filter on the desired parameters with a user-friendly interface, select the number of rooms, floor and square footage of the apartment.
The apartment card has a detailed layout and design project to better understand how it looks as furnished, or how you can change the layout of the walls.
