"Inspired by animations and comic-book effects which can appear trivial and silly, the theme of foolishness and stupidity is presented here in a context that is both humorous and thought-provoking. With each of the visuals hinting at the culture from which the proverb originated from, I wish to contrast the seriousness of a saying, that has been passed down through generations, with something mundane and lighthearted."
