Digital Photography and Digital Pigment Print from Photo Transfer on Tissue Paper
Dementia is a disease that is frightening and most families have dealt with the disease one way or another. Paper Thin is not meant to show new findings or new theories. The photographs are creating an imaginative world of how memories are lost.
Paper Thin has two types of images: manipulated versions of a memory and a photography of a photograph from my grandmother’s photo box. Juxtaposed with one another, the viewer sees a life that was once lived and then how over time, with increase and age, and disease affects a memory.
