CC2222 - Motion Graphic Design

Assignment: Instructional Videos
This was an assignment on creating an instructional Motion Graphic Video concentrating on a specific issue that is optimized to achieve a specific goal, such as teaching someone or making a call to action.

For this assignment I decided to made an instructional video that instructed on how to make Pop Mie instant noodle. Pop Mie is one of the most popular instant noodle brand in Indonesia. As in every instant noodle packaging, there should be an instruction on behind the packaging itself which shows how to cook the instant noodle properly. It would be interesting to portray the instructions in the form of a Motion Graphic Video.
Aims
The aim of this instructional video was to show the audience on how to cook a Pop Mie instant noodle properly and to further increase their interest in eating the product itself.
Objectives

1.To create an instructional video on how to cook Pop Mie.
2. To make a survey regarding the Motion Graphic Video itself and gathered feedbacks regarding the outcome of the video.

Concept And Inspirations
I drawn inspiration from multiple sources of work from different artist. What I had in mind was to create an instructional video in which the subject (in this case the subject is the Pop Mie product itself) was going to be portrayed in the middle of the video and then the flow of the instructions would just begin and end from there. As shown in the moodboard above, most of the artwork has the subject of in the middle section of the frame.
Screenshots Of The Video
Pictures above on the left shows the initial animation on the video. It displayed the main subject of the video which was the "Pop Mie" Product. Pictures on the right was the animation that followed right after which showed several facts regarding the product itself.
The scene on the left shows the brief history of the Pop Mie product. The scene on the right shows we were about to reach the instructions part of the video.
Picture on the left was the part where the video just entered the instruction sequence. Picture on the right shows the final frame of the animation video (just right before the final transition).
