Mushroom Forest Campfire Stool

Mushroom Campfire Stool
For my CNC class we made campfire stools using a CNC router. The stools are designs to be portable and easy to sit on near a fire. I made all four sides on the outside similar because I wanted to sit on any side in the dark. To add a bit of depth and interest, I staggered the designs to create an immersive forest. I used a gradient on the stool to add to the depth.
After painting, I stacked the panels using paper towels for transportation. I used Artist's Loft and Golden acrylic paint.
Because MDF is so porous, I had to use a gesso primer first. This step took the longest.
First view of the stacked stool. I used an oscillator to take the tabs and excess wood off.
Finished panels and spacers fresh off the CNC router.
