The Cozy Kitty is a chair specifically designed to soothe young children who may be struggling with loss, trauma, or behavioral issues. Sitting in the embrace of this larger-than-life cat calls to mind a child’s fantasy of napping on their own pet’s belly. The plush, fully customizable antimicrobial upholstery and layered cushion in the seat and back evoke the softness of a real cat. On the cat’s chest is a removable patch of machine-washable fabric that engages a child’s tactile senses, and the tail can be pulled up into the seat for the child to hold. On the back of the chair is a Velcro-sealed compartment for a battery-operated purring mechanism. This motor imitates a real cat’s purr, which studies have shown promotes healing and soothes anxiety. The Cozy Kitty chair is purrfect for both a pediatric therapy center and the home and provides a calming friend to any child.
