Zombie Hospital - Berlin

Zombie Hospital - Germany, Berlin

Whilst in Berlin me and Chris Bergin went Urban Exploring around the city.

The Zombie Hospital is an abandoned children’s hospital in Weißensee. From research I have found that the building was built in 1909 and then later other buildings where added to the hospital grounds. The children’s hospital was built to help combat rising infant mortality rates at the time. Later into 1967 the hospital also expanded into a dairy farm, however come 1997 the building was sadly shutdown. The building has been left to fall and has been torched several times over the years.
The entire area was extremely silent and was quite creepy. It didn’t help that it had been snowing and we could see other people foot prints leading into the building. There was lots of signs of squatters in the building, luckily we didn’t come across any. We found a lot of the lower grounds seemed safe to roam, however we felt a bit nervous when venturing up the stairs.

Although the buildings have been badly vandalised there is some really cool graffiti art throughout the buildings. It’s definitely worth a visit for people visiting Berlin again.
