Domesticated was a photography experiment to take out the political agenda and controversy surrounding the image of a gun. By avoiding a black and white statement about guns, the piece strives to represent the gray middle ground in the matter.

Each photograph features a different residential kitchen and the cutout of the gun that also exists in that home. All the participants of this artwork consented me to photograph their kitchens and gave me the model of their guns to cut the image around.

My commentary on the work is that it is an entirely different feeling to walk into a home knowing there is a gun that resides there. It's neither a safe, nor scary feeling, it just changes the way you understand and know the space.
