This project was completed for Raster Graphics II at Ivy Tech Community College. The objective was to create a piece of artwork for a restaurant using only vector shapes in Photoshop. The artwork I created is for Magritte, a modern Belgian bistro and waffle bar inspired by surrealist artist Rene Magritte.

These two stock photos were used as reference for this project.

I started with a quick photoshop mockup of the design.

The first vector shapes I created were the main shapes of the apples,

and then the apple cores.

Next, I added a waffle texture to the apple cores. To do this, I created one half of an apple then copied and adjusted the shapes to fit each apple's perspective.

Finally, I added the shadows in the background.

A simple design brief was also created for this project.
