A Subtle Pine
This is a small pointillism panel done in pen and ink. It depicts the story of snail that yearns for a dandelion, but ultimately does not get it. I left the ending ambiguous so the viewer can decide whether the snail chose not to get the dandelion or it just couldn't get it.
The process with this panel was tedious because of how time consuming pointillism is. I started with sketching out the snail and the dandelion so I had an idea of what it would look like. Then I used different sized Micron pens to add details in the snail and dandelion. The background was then done with India Ink and a cotton swab to add more texture.
