Chinese New Year is coming and my father would love to have his own signature hongbao to help people differentiate which hongbao belongs to him.

My father gave me freedom to what i want to make, but it needs to be fun and cheerful because it will be given to babies and kids in our big family and our neighbours.

I sincerely adore the traditional hongbao designs that has a traditional illustration of children playing music or sitting happily with a religious figure. Though the illustrations are cute, i think they are still too old dated and might not be appealing to children nowadays.

So in order to attract children yet still keeping the tradition and classic illustrations,

i re-create it into a more modern vector characters with vibrant colors and crowded decoration.
